The Market Gate was the closest to the castle, which is why it is the most important. It is one of the three that preserves the wall of Almazán, of the seven gates that the enclosure originally had. It stands out for its solid image with its two crenellated towers.

In the Plaza Mayor there are several buildings of interest: the statue of Diego Laínez and the town hall, the palace of the Hurtado de Mendoza family and the church of San Miguel. In 2011 the square was reformed, a cantilevered viewpoint was added with views over the Duero river, a pedestrian route, around the church and the Town Hall, through walkways, flown elements, etc.
