Medieval arch, the main entrance to Lerma and the only gate in the wall that is still preserved. This impressive structure, built of stone, is the headquarters of the D.O. Ribera del Arlanza. Its name comes from the old prison, which was located here, after the expansion carried out in 1610.

In the Plaza de Santa Clara de Lerma there is a beautiful viewpoint of the Valle de Arlanza and the river. Built more than 400 years ago, at the beginning of the 18th century, in order to unite the Collegiate Church of San Pedro Apóstol and the Palace of the Duke of Lerma.
