The ruins of the Besora castle and the Romanesque church of Santa María are located on a hill at more than 1000 meters above sea level. It is worth calmly exploring each of its corners and enjoying the beautiful views.

Very curious temple due to its proportions. It has preserved its entire structure in its primitive elements. The only tagline made in the course of its history was the belfry on the wall opposite the apse. Rectangular plan with a single nave crowned to the east by a semicircular apse. It is covered with a barrel vault reinforced by a single main arch. The covers were non-existent; that of the nave has been resolved with Arab tiles while that of the apse is with stone slabs very well cut and jointed. Below this cover there is a course of very regular rectangular stones placed in the restoration as a cornice. The closing wall of the nave at the eastern corner rises above the roof level. The apparatus is made of limestone ashlars, squared and of very irregular sizes, arranged in irregular courses held with lime mortar. The entrance door opens at noon, resolved with a semicircular arch made of well-cut voussoirs. In this same corner there is a semicircular window and another equal to the west corner that, with the one in the back of the apse, completes the lighting of the church.

The hermitage of Sant Moí is a beautiful Romanesque hermitage belonging to the municipality of Santa Maria de Besora, in the Osona region. It is believed that it was built at the end of the 10th century. Few vestiges remain inside the hermitage, but remains of paintings can still be seen in the apse.

All that remains of the castle are badly damaged fragments of walls. The only clearly visible remains are those of the castle's church, dedicated to Santa Maria, and which allow us to see that it was a construction of a nave topped to the east by a semicircular apse. The nave and the apse, preceded by a presbytery section, were covered by barrel vaults. As for the remains of the castle itself, you can see the remains of the closing wall in the northern area of the hill, around the area of access and entrance to the castle. In this same northern area, remains of several rooms of the castle appear. A possible cistern is also located in this sector. In the central part, there would be a pool, documented during the excavation work of the 2006-2010 campaigns. In the southern area, close to the precipice, there are also very eroded fragments of the closing wall. We enjoy a fantastic 360º panorama.

LEGEND OF SAN MOÍ The legend of Sant Moí is part of Catalan folklore and it seems that it would be a legendary saint, it does not correspond to a real personage. The tradition, collected among others by Joan Amades, says that he was a hermit who lived in deep solitude in Santa Maria de Besora, in the hermitage of Sant Moí. He spent the time dedicated to prayer and doing work with wood, specifically clogs, which he left on the edge of a path for passers-by to pick up. He had no tools, and made the clogs with only his hands. He was deaf and therefore did not speak much and went years without saying a word. According to another version, it was because he never spoke to anyone that he became deaf, and that is why he was adopted as a patron saint by those who lost their hearing, who asked: "Sant Moí, make me hear". When he died, all the land around the hermitage was covered with white and fragrant lilies. The shepherds saw the hermitage bathed in heavenly light and, upon entering, found it empty: the hermit had been taken to heaven by angels.

This hermitage, also called Esglesiola de Sant Moí, is located next to the farmhouse of the same name, in the municipality of Santa Maria de Besora, within the Parc del Castell de Montesquiu. It is a pre-Romanesque building (or a very primitive Romanesque one), probably built at the end of the 10th century. This small building consists of a short rectangular classroom covered with a wooden structure and a highly elevated semicircular apse.

La Riera de Sorreigs is a watercourse in the province of Barcelona; belongs to the judicial parties of Berga and Vic. It is born in the municipality of Sant Boi de Lluçanès, in the sub-region of Lluçanès and forms two waterfalls, one of which gives its name to the Gorg Negre; advances through the valley of the municipality of Santa Cecília de Voltregà, The beginning of the valley, in its western sector is nestled between the peaks of La Tuta and Santa Perpètua (795 m) and the Sierra de Sant Martí Xic or Voltregà castle (854 m); as the river moves east, its valley widens, until it meets the road from Barcelona to Puigcerdà, then continues east and flows right into the river Ter, around Manlleu. [1 ] A large part of the valley of the stream is protected as an area of natural interest and is part of the Natura 2000 network. The sanctuary of the Virgen dels Munts is located in the Lluçanès sub-region at the junction of Osona and Ripollès. The building consists of the church and the inn. The church is a single nave covered with a transept vault, dated to the lintel of the entrance door in 1700. On the left side of the façade there is a bell tower, which can be accessed from from inside the church. The front door is protected by a porch that communicates with the inn, a rectangular building. Inside there is the very restored Romanesque image of the Virgen dels Munts, from the 13th century. You can get there by car by detouring along the BP-4653, before reaching Sant Agustí de Lluçanès. Next to the inn, now a restaurant, there are two wooden tables that we find in the recreation areas.
