A must-see cultural visit to the region, along with other Romanesque towns and monuments. In my opinion, the best thing about this monastery is its layout and the views from the outside.

I grew up there, long before the observatory and the archaeological works at the Castle. When we were little, it seemed to us that the idea that there was a castle behind the church was a chimera. When it was brought to light, it seemed like magic.

They are 2 consecutive walls separated by a very short and steep descent. The first wall is 1.3 km with a maximum of 10%. The second is much harder with a maximum slope of 17.5% although it is only 760 meters. They are 2 walls that I really like because they combine the beauty of the landscape with the town of Rubinat.

It is a beautiful town with all kinds of services from which to organize spectacular bicycle routes through the regions of l'Anoia and La Segarra. The center and old town are worth a quiet visit. There are many restaurants where you can eat wonderfully at very reasonable prices. In my opinion, the best season to visit Cervera and its surroundings by bicycle are the months of April and May, in the full splendor of spring, where the green, yellow and red fields so characteristic of central Catalonia combine.

Town, head of the municipality of the same name, formed in 1840 from the grouping of Castelltallat, Coaner, Salo, Sant Mateu de Bages and Valls de Torroella, with a little over 600 inhabitants. With more than 100km2, it is the largest municipality in the province of Barcelona. The site of Sancto Matheo is documented since the 10th century. The castle is mentioned for the first time in 1018. During the Second Spanish Republic it adopted the name of Bages d'en Selves.

Of all the picture-perfect, historical places in Catalonia, Montfalcó Murallat in the province of Lleida is probably the most impressive example of a medieval town whose city walls are almost perfectly preserved. The approximately 8 meter high building dates from the 13th century and surrounds the entire town. With a total of 15 houses, it is of a very manageable size, but still absolutely worth seeing.

Ramon, son of Portell, died in the castle of Cardona. In the chapel, with a salt crystal on the facade, there is the phrase carved: "Aci es nat Sant Ramon Nonat".
