The foundation of this monastery, which tradition says dates back to the 7th century, is attributed to the Benedictine Fructuosus of Braga. The 17th-century church combines classicism and baroque and houses the Suebian-Visigothic tomb of the Galician saint Trahamunda, patron saint of all homesick people.
