The small crossing gives access to some great backcountry trails into the wetlands

Its size is surprising, as it resembles a cathedral more than a traditional church. It was built in the 18th century on the site of a former 14th-century Mudejar-style parish church.

The Odiel River is born in the Sierra de Aracena, at an altitude of 660 m, in a place called Marimateos. It flows into the Huelva estuary, where in the so-called Punta del Sebo it meets the Tinto river.

Its main productive activity is the cultivation of cereals, sunflowers, olive trees, citrus fruits, legumes, and the breeding of sheep, pigs and wild cattle. Its important monuments include the Dolmen de Soto, the Church of San Antón, the Convent of Carmen, the Jesuit College and the Hermitage of Santa Misericordia.

The Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de la Granada is one of the most representative temples of the Sevillian Baroque. It was built in the 18th century on the ruins of the old Mudejar parish from the 14th century, which was demolished by the Lisbon earthquake of 1755. The only part of this temple that survived was the tower, very similar to the Giralda in Seville.

Moguer, a town in the Tierra Llana region, located on the banks of the Tinto River, is a place deeply involved in the Discovery of America, since it was in the convent of Santa Clara where Christopher Columbus swore an oath of allegiance to the Catholic Monarchs.

Aljaraque has four districts, formed by Corrales, Bellavista, La Dehesa Golf and La Monacilla. Numerous buildings of a religious nature stand out and the atmosphere of the streets is unique, especially when its local areas are full of neighbors who walk or have tapas before eating, an essential element in the gastronomic culture of Huelva. In the area of the pines there are spectacular trails and some demanding climbs. There are beautiful places with a great leafiness of the vegetation where the light hardly passes.
