The Hermitage of San José in Busot is an 18th-century church. It is distinguished by its Latin cross floor plan and thoughtful architecture. With a three-part nave and chapels between the buttresses, this hermitage is connected at one end to the sacristy and the former hermit's house. Particularly striking features of this hermitage are the polygonal facade with a flat-arched portal, a niche with a relief of San José, and a round oculus that illuminates the interior. This building regularly serves as the site for important events for the community, such as the floral offering to the patron saint during the Moors and Christians festival and the Three Kings' procession on January 5th. You can't miss the tower, which rises like a landmark over the harbor of El Campello. There are restaurants down by the harbor where you can sit by the water or harbor basin. Very nice place close to the port of El Campello. Worth a detour.
