In the heart of the Pyrenees National Park, from this refuge you can admire the magnificent view of the Gavarnie stream, the Ossoue glacier, and the Vignemale. The Espuguettes refuge, located at an altitude of 2,027 meters, on the heights of Gavarnie, a few hundred meters from the summit of Pimené and the Hourquette d'Alans (towards the Cirque du Estaubé), offers one of the most beautiful views of the Gavarnie Cirque and the Brèche de Roland. It takes about two hours on foot from the village of Gavarnie to reach the refuge and find yourself in the heart of this cultural and scenic site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sarradets Refuge: Gateway to the Rolando Gap in the Heart of the Pyrenees The Sarradets Refuge, also known as the Rolando Gap Refuge, is one of the most iconic and beloved destinations for hikers and mountaineers exploring the Pyrenees. Located at an altitude of 2,587 meters, right on the border between Spain and France, this refuge offers spectacular views of the north face of the Rolando Gap and the Taillón Massif.

The Cabane de Barrosa is a small refuge in the upper Valle de Barrosa at an altitude of 1,745 meters. It is idyllically located in the middle of pastures near the stream and offers twelve beds, a table, chairs and a wood stove. The hut was last renovated in 2015. The path to Puerto de Barrosa also branches off here (path PR-HU 187).
