The Pantano de las Tapias is a reservoir located in Caminomorisco, in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura. This reservoir is located near the towns of El Lombo and Mesa Santa. It is an ideal place to enjoy nature and do outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing. One of the popular routes is the one that starts from La Pesga and reaches the reservoir, offering a route of approximately 10.8 km with spectacular views.

The Las Hurdes natural pools are a true paradise for those who enjoy bathing in natural surroundings. The Cruce de Avellanar Natural Pool is located on the CC-156 road that leads to Horcajo and Castillo, near the turnoff to Avellanar. This pool is distinguished by its serene location next to the Esperabán River, offering a refreshing escape in the crystal-clear waters of the river. The area around the pool has plenty of shade thanks to the surrounding vegetation and does not have a beach bar.

Natural pools on the side of the road for a quick dip. There is also a small park with a picnic area across the road.

Unknown to many, this beautiful reservoir located in the north of Extremadura is an ideal corner to enjoy the beautiful landscape and especially the tranquility that surrounds it.

Green area with tables and shade, river with natural pool and shelter. The fountain does not work, but you can purify water from the river or go to the fountain less than a kilometer away. The shelter, as of November 2021, has the door open (the lock is broken) but the city council has plans to reform it. Quiet area and secluded from the main road. It has a pool and a small river to bathe or carry water (it is important to make it drinkable). Flat area for bivouac or overnight stay in the shade (summer) and in the sun (winter). Remember that camping is not allowed.
