The unique structure of this bullring attests to its historic past, which has earned it its declaration as a Site of Cultural Interest. The Cáceres Bullring, also known as the "Ballring of the Era of the Martyrs," is one of the oldest in Spain. Its construction began in 1844 and was completed two years later. The first bullfight was held on August 6, 1846, with bulls from Don Gaspar Muñoz. The bullring is built with granite and masonry walls and has a capacity for 8,000 spectators spread over three floors.
