The highest pass on Mallorca: the tunnel of the Serra de son Torrella. Unfortunately, the summit of the Puig Major is a military restricted area. Therefore, you cannot drive up to the summit. The road is in excellent condition and is great fun both uphill and downhill. A detour via Fornalutx, a very original Mallorcan mountain village, is even more beautiful.

Stone walls, olive trees, endless curves and impressive views await you on the climb to Coll de Sóller. Enjoy this wonder.

Longest climb around, but worth the effort

Very nice climb from Bunyola. The road surface has now (2024) been repaired in several places. However, caution is still required on the descent from the top of the pass to the town of Orient, as there are still many potholes, especially before the town entrance. After that, the surface is good and the descent to Alaro is nice. Avoid at weekends when the weather is nice, as the locals drive here in droves with their cars to picnic.

The Coll can be driven up very comfortably from Palma.

From both sides a great ascent as well as descent. The road is very nicely maintained, there are many hairpin bends and the road is mostly empty (especially in early spring). At the top, you can always linger in the small restaurant.
