Bonansa is one of those small mountain towns that has something magical about it. Located in the Aragonese Pyrenees, this sunny town in the municipality of Montanuy is surrounded by magnificent mountains that are over 1,000 meters high. The village consists of traditional stone houses with their gardens, a church and a public fountain. There is also a restaurant and, in the lower part of the village, a swimming pool with a bar and a tennis court, but they only operate in the summer season. The hermitage of San Aventín is an 11th century Romanesque construction located on a hill overlooking the town of Bonansa, in the Ribagorza region of Huesca. The hermitage is usually closed except for festivities, but it is still worth the climb from the town to enjoy wonderful views of the mountains that surround Bonansa.
