The Val das Mouras is a magical place in O Courel that refers to the Mouras, mythological beings. The water seeps between the rocks and flows through the subsoil, composing a karst landscape of rocks shaped by erosion that intermingle with the lush vegetation of the forest.

A Pobra de Trives is a small regional town located at the foot of the mountain and access to the Manzaneda sky station. It is a great place to stop for lunch whether you go down to the Bibei river or go up to Manzaneda.

On the way up from Quiroga, the mountain range of Courel welcomes you, surrounded by a protected forest landscape and incredible views. The rocky formation and the cliff front are of notable geological importance.
