The bivouac at the Agujas de Cardaño, within the Fuentes Carrionas and Fuente Cobre Natural Park - Montaña Palentina, is a spectacular high-altitude experience, ideal for experienced mountaineers seeking an adventure surrounded by nature.

This little haven is not a 5-star hotel, but it will get you through the night. It is also a good place to shelter from the rain. It has a small fireplace and the surrounding landscape is spectacular.

Chozo Tonino is just off the road, but you'll miss it if you're not looking for it. It's not really a hut, it's a small cave where a Barruelano took refuge during the postwar The trees around and the area is very nice.

This building was part of a project for a Parador de Turismo and ski resort subsidized by the Diputación de Palencia. To this day, the only ones who take advantage of it are the shepherds and their cattle that graze on those mountains.

Despite currently being abandoned, the views from here are wonderful no matter which way you look. It is reached by paved road with little traffic and it is worth going up to enjoy the panoramic views of the Palencia Mountain.

I recognize that I cannot more openly recommend a place like the Villaverde Hostel since 15 years as a friend and client of Javi give us many good memories and experiences. Hostel located in a privileged enclave of the Picos de Europa and a stone's throw from the coast of Cantabria and Asturias. Unbeatable treatment and fantastic value for money. Taking into account both the food and the provision of all the facilities, it seems that you are in a mountain hotel. Ideal for planning group activities and if they are cycling, don't be surprised to find yourself there any day with the Jumbo-Visma, the arrival ramps are fantastic for training the mountain stages!!!
