Make your reservation early enough to ensure yourself an accomodation. Accommodation includes a comfy bed, disposable linens, self service kitchen, bathroom with cold water, vending machines for water and snacks (bring coins). Please know, you are responsible for your garbage, you have to take it back down with you! :D The overnight stay grants you a permit to the Mt. Teide for the day of check-out. Sunset is absolutely worth it!

In contrast to mountain huts in the Alps, the Refugio de Altavista does not have a lounge or sun terrace with large meals. In the simple hut, on the other hand, you can spend the night in comfortable beds and then climb to the top of Mount Teide at dawn and experience an incredible sunrise there. In the hut there is a self-catering kitchen and a total of 54 beds. You will receive bed linen on site and a hut sleeping bag is not absolutely necessary.
