Make sure you bring everything you need. There are two camp sites for 20 people. There's electricity (if there's been enough sun), but no electrical outlets. There's no running water, but there's a cistern with filtered rainwater, which I drank.

There are several points from where you can get to the refuge, in our case we went up by E-bike from Tijarafe. No electricity or water, but a good, clean cabin in the shade of a good pine forest. Take the ascent from there to almost Roque de los Cuchachos very calmly, the positive slope in a short distance is difficult to find. Mandatory stop to regain strength and plan the descent. You can stay overnight for free. 12 berths, water, firewood, stove etc.
