The Trafalgar Lighthouse was built in 1860 on the remains of a Roman lighthouse. It stands on a narrow sandbar that juts far out into the Atlantic Ocean. The site is famous for the Battle of Trafalgar (1805), in which the British fleet under Admiral Nelson defeated the Spanish-French alliance.

The most wonderful shop we could find here, decorated with great attention to detail and topped off with a super friendly salesperson. It's definitely worth a visit.
