If you are going to do the circle from Gastiain, I recommend going up the SE, through the hanging valley, and down the SW. Otherwise you will get lots of pebbles for the descent.

I recommend going down the iron stairs, also with great views.

It's nice to stand in the corner and contemplate the immense landscape at your feet

Aratz. 1445 m is the main summit of the Altzaina massif. Category +1 in the province of Alava

The trail runs through the forest of natural wonders and reaches the Tontorraundi crest, as the northern mountain range is known. The path follows the edge of the rope and leads to the calcareous cliff where the Bargagain iron cross is located, a magnificent natural balcony. To the north the silhouette of the Aratz and the Aizkorri crest. And a little to the right the Txindoki and the relief of Aralar. The path descends from the cliff and continues along the rope.

Summit separated from the rest of the summits of the Aizkorri mountain range. Not for that less beautiful. The crest is usually windy.
