The Las Raíces camping area has barbecue areas, benches and tables, restrooms, and even a water fountain.

Impressive hairpin bend on the way to the top of El Teide. In this bend carved out of the rock, various colors are visible in the volcanic rock. There are two parking spaces to safely enjoy the beautiful view.

The longest climb of my life—30km with a +1600m elevation gain. The road is newly paved, offering a smooth ride. Beautiful pine trees provide shade for most of the ascent, and the temperature drops as you approach Spain's highest mountain: Teide, a volcano standing at 3,715m. If measured from the ocean floor, Teide's total height of 7,500m ranks it as the world's third-highest volcano, earning recognition from UNESCO and NASA as Earth's third-tallest volcanic structure.
