It stands on a rocky cliff overlooking the sea, and is one of the main tourist attractions in the area. It offers stunning views of the Asturian coastline and is a popular place to watch the sunset. The Hermitage of the Virgen Blanca is a small chapel located on the same cliff as the lighthouse, right next to it. The hermitage is in the Baroque style and was built in the 18th century. It has an image of the Virgen Blanca, patron saint of Luarca.

Beautiful place with beautiful views of the Navia estuary and terraces of bars to have a vermouth or beer quietly.
