Goal achieved! And what a milestone! The Vermillion Coast is magnificent, and this cape is its final point. Spain is right there, next door, a pass to go for a drink in Portbou or return to beautiful Cerbère? Cerbère is my preference, where I recommend the inland walk.

A good pair of shoes is necessary for this walk. Depending on the time of year, leg protection could be welcome against the brambles that can overflow in certain places from the small paths.

The 205 m high Puig de Cervera lies directly on the border between the southern French municipality of Cerbère and the northern Catalan municipality of Portbou, marked by the border cross N 601. The view of the sea is magnificent, the descent to Portbou is somewhat exposed and not entirely easy.
