The location of this refuge makes it unique. It can be accessed from Prat de Pierro (all via track) or from Espot (this option is shorter but steeper).

A charming town in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees known for its natural beauty. When summer arrives they become a paradise for trail running and hiking.

A route with much less people than Sant Maurici. The path is demanding from Espot due to the unevenness but the reward is worth it.

Located in the heart of the Escrita river valley, Espot is a town with typical Pyrenean architecture. Its artistic heritage includes buildings such as the parish church of Santa Llogaia and the Moros tower, which functioned as a defensive tower during the Middle Ages. The town constitutes the main entrance to the National Park of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici, a rich natural space with rivers of turbulent waters, high mountain springs and more than a hundred "ponds", or lakes.

This beautiful river is a tributary of the Noguera Pallaresa.

The path is perfect for running and the views are great too.

Spectacular waterfall just 30 minutes from L'Estany de Sant Maurici. It is a little difficult to get there because there is a flight of stairs.
