Beautiful mountain biking routes in the area, and tough ones

Spectacular reservoir and in a privileged environment. A visit is essential if you travel to the area. Starting point for many routes in the area, both hikers and mountain bikers.

When the path enters the Barranc de la Ronyosa, a passage opens between the Mola del Ferri to the north and the Mola de Magraner to the south, narrowing noticeably. The high walls and the balsams that we are seeing make it very attractive. It goes without saying that in case of heavy rains some problem may arise to go around it.

Imposing natural passage between large walls that was part of the old road that joined Fredes with La Senia. On the steep path, coming from Fredes, we find several basins and cavities of different depths. If we continue, without crossing the Portell, in the direction of Punta del Solà d'en Brull (E.) we will be able to see the Foradada de la Cova del llop and the magnificent Cova de l'Aire.

It is at the confluence of four ravines, the Fou ravine (or Sénia river), the Teulatí ravine, the Tenalla ravine and the Pobla ravine (or green river). It supplies water to the irrigation communities of Ulldecona, Sénia, Sant Rafel and Rossell. It was built during the sixties, financed by the farmers of Ulldecona, a fact that gives it its name; it occupies an extension of 817 ha and has a capacity of 11 hm3. It has a gravity rush, which is 54 m high and 180 m wide. This reservoir belongs to the Xúquer Hydrographic Confederation. There is a track in a northerly direction that runs along the western edge in its entirety and then forks to go to La Tenalla to the west or La Fou to the east.

The Salt de Robert is a beautiful waterfall of about 30 meters where the Rio Sénia is born. It is located between the town of Fredes and the Ulldecona reservoir, at an altitude of 1,020 meters, right in the ravine with the same name. This emblematic corner of La Tinença can be accessed through Fredes, through the Portell de l'Infern by taking the red route of the Natural Park of La Tinença de Benifassà or by the forest trail that leaves from the Ulldecona reservoir and turns to the 'left at Cova del Ferri.
