Town, head of the municipality of the same name, formed in 1840 from the grouping of Castelltallat, Coaner, Salo, Sant Mateu de Bages and Valls de Torroella, with a little over 600 inhabitants. To the south of the town is the neighborhood of Joncadella, with the church of Santa Maria.

It is the oldest restaurant in Catalonia that has never closed its doors, opening them for the first time in 1524. Stopping for breakfast or lunch there is a must.
