The Cabo de Palos Lighthouse is an impressive local landmark. It stands on a rocky headland on the Mediterranean coast, close to the town of Cabo de Palos and near the popular holiday region of La Manga del Mar Menor. The lighthouse is visible from afar and attracts many visitors. The lighthouse was commissioned in 1865 and stands on a site that has been used by sailors for centuries. In ancient times there was a watchtower there to monitor the coast. The lighthouse itself is not open to the public, but it is possible to drive up to the top and visit the outside area. From there you have spectacular views over the rocky coastline and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea.

Outdoor mud therapy area. The mud of the Salinas is characterized by long exposure to the sun and the salty water from the Mar Menor. In addition, on the opposite side you can take a bath in the mineralized water of the Mar Menor. There are thalassotherapy and spa centers in the area.

Beautiful, a real highlight, highly recommended. La Manga del Mar Menor is a unique and worth seeing strip of land in the Murcia region. It stretches for about 21 kilometers and acts as a natural barrier between the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor, forming a special geographical feature with its beaches on both sides.

It is an open-air and free spa. There are information panels that explain the procedure and benches along the walk to rest while the mud takes effect. The only downside to the experience is that it smells a little bad. There is a cycle path along the coast that gives greater accessibility to the area.

The section near Santiago de la Ribera is a beautiful stretch along the coast of the Mar Menor, ideal for a bike ride. The route towards the salt flats of San Pedro del Pinatar offers a wonderful combination of beach, nature and fresh air. The route goes along small beaches, restaurants and charming cafes, with great views of the calm waters of the Mar Menor. It's worth it.

Beautiful, natural place, the paths and trails lead to the waterline. An idyllic route that leads through natural areas and is suitable for both leisure cyclists and nature lovers. A little detour from the main route is worthwhile.
