Perfect gravel climb to Rocacorba, allowing you to make a nice loop going back down the road. The road is asphalted until Biert then only the very steep parts are concreted to facilitate the climb.

Sant Llorenç d'Adri is a 12th century Romanesque church located in the village of Adri within the municipality of Canet d'Adri. It is a simple rural temple but with a door rich in religious iconography. It is a monument listed in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. It is built with volcanic stone originally with a single nave plan, topped by a semicircular apse decorated externally with a dentate frieze. The facade opens to the west and highlights a half-point window in the center and the door. This door is highlighted by two archivolts and supported by two columns with capitals sculpted one with a bird and a human head and the other with a figure of a bishop and a geometric pattern. It has a bell tower with a square plan, half-point twin openings and a pyramidal roof.

The view from the top is so rewarding. I’ve done the gravel ascent and can’t express the happiness I felt at the top. Remember to take enough water - no place for refill the all way from Girona and back. Love the route and definitely will do this again.

At the beginning or end of this section, depending on the direction, in Mas Puig (already touching the road from Canet to Adri) for some time there has been a stationary caravan and some tables to drink or eat a snack contemplating the top of Rocacorba. Typical stop for cyclists, hikers and urbanites with hiking boots.

The Canet stream, or Tornavellins, is born under the Rocacorba mountain and during its course it forms caves and small waterfalls of very special beauty.
