Today, Luanco is an important Asturian fishing port. Like many others, its main activity years ago was whale fishing. However, its fishing activity has gradually adapted to include tuna, bonito, sardines, mackerel, and other species. Today, the port is also a marina, and the town offers an interesting tourist attraction based on its traditional character.

Beautiful lighthouse with some of the best views in the region. It was built in the middle of the 19th century. It is also an excellent place to watch a sunset.

Huge beach with a large wooden walkway that crosses the dune areas. There is a beach bar upstairs and showers available at one of the entrances/exits to the beach.

A fishing village with a secluded port and beautiful beaches. It is worth strolling through the old town, with its Clock Tower. Luanco also has a wonderful promenade where at the end of La Marina beach you will find the church of Santa María.
