L’Eyre, Petite Leyre라고도 불리는 이 강은 Landes에서 시작하여 길고 나무가 우거진 계곡을 가로질러 Biganos와 Teich의 넓은 습지 초원에 도달합니다. 강 하구에서 이 강은 복잡한 삼각주로 나뉘는데, 이는 조석에 따라 변하는 수로, 갈대밭, 범람원 지대로 이루어져 있습니다. 만조 시에는 Eyre 강이 가득 차 하늘을 반사하고, 간조 시에는 갯벌이 드러나 왜가리, 백로, 도요새를 끌어들입니다. 이곳은 끊임없이 움직이는 살아있는 풍경으로, 강이 Bassin d’Arcachon으로 흘러 들어가기 전 마지막 여정을 마치는 곳입니다.

이 탑은 여러 개의 높은 관측 플랫폼 중 하나로, 새들과 적절한 거리를 유지하면서 석호, 갈대밭, 갯벌을 조망할 수 있습니다. 위에서 철새와 텃새를 조용히 관찰할 수 있으며, 종종 습지를 가로지르는 큰 무리를 발견할 수 있습니다.

The port of Le Teich, once dedicated to oyster farming, has become a charming marina. It's an ideal place to relax, picnic, or enjoy the swimming area, but also for walks, bike rides, or electric boat rides, and of course, the opportunity to visit the Ornithological Reserve, as well as a children's play area.

Approx. 80 swinging steps up the spiral staircase... A head for heights is recommended, the view is beautiful.

"In recognition of his outstanding work for peace, the self-determination of peoples and European values, for tolerance, pluralism and understanding, and in recognition of his significant commitment to interreligious and intercultural dialogue, the Board of Directors of the Society for the Award of the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen in 2024 honors the President of the Conference of European Rabbis, Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, and together with him the Jewish communities in Europe. With this award, the Charlemagne Prize Board wants to send a signal that Jewish life is a natural part of Europe and that there must be no place for anti-Semitism in Europe. Jewish life is an important part of European history and the present - now and in the future. (...)
