In the film “One Day in September,” Adenauer’s and De Gaulle’s respective advisors (both World War II veterans) gaze contemplatively at this impressive, unifying structure, yet fail to find common ground.

This is where the de Gaulles are buried. Charles de Gaulle's grave lies between the large memorial/museum and the La Boisserie residence, so it's easily accessible on the way from one to the other.

An interesting museum shop and café. Free parking. Those who buy the combination ticket can also visit the de Gaulle family home. A walk there also takes you past the cemetery with the family grave. Then you get the full Charles de Gaulle experience. In the town center, there's also a café, a souvenir shop, and a restaurant serving regional specialties.

Opened in 1885, the Condes tunnel is now equipped with a cycle path and lighting, which is quite enjoyable when passing underneath.

The Abbaye de Mormant is a former commandery of the Knights Hospitaller, located between the villages of Richebourg and Leffonds, in the Haute-Marne, France. The commandery was founded in 1120 as a hospital for pilgrims and the poor, under the direction of the Augustinians. In 1225, the commandery was transferred to the Knights Hospitaller, who turned it into an agricultural centre. The commandery consists of several buildings, including a chapel, an infirmary, a refectory, a barn and a tower. The commandery has been a historical monument since 1989 and can be visited by appointment with the association L’Abbaye de Mormant Revivra.
