Monpazier is a charming little town in the Dordogne, southwest France, that takes you straight back to the Middle Ages. It was founded in 1284 and looks almost exactly the same today as it did then. The market square with its old market hall, where you can buy fresh, local delicacies, is particularly special. The narrow streets and old stone houses make the town super cozy. When you stroll through Monpazier, you feel like you're in another time, and there are plenty of small shops and cafés that invite you to linger. Great coffee stop by the confluence of vezere and dordogne. if you ask nicely they will also fill up water bottles!

Limeuil is rightly said to be one of the most beautiful villages in France. Walking through the narrow streets, you feel as if you have been transported back centuries. The houses with their quarry stone walls are mostly in good condition.
