This former phonolite slate quarry became, after abandonment of the extraction site, Lac Bleu. Nearby, large rock walls display the traces left by generations of lauzerons who succeeded one another to cut the lauze so present on the roofs of the Meygal region.

The Beaune-sur-Arzon lake offers all the facilities necessary to spend a beautiful day at the water's edge. The place is often very busy in the summer.

Lac de Malaguet is an artificial lake created and exploited by man since the Middle Ages. Today it is a Regional Nature Reserve.

Lac du Bouchet is a magnificent body of water suitable for swimming and walking. Indeed a landscaped path goes around it. On its southern part there is a beach and a relaxation area. You will also find at the level of its northern part a very good restaurant which serves local dishes.

From the lake of Saint-Front born the Gagne, one of the many tributaries of the Loire. This lake is a maar. It owes its existence to a violent volcanic explosion. It is magnificent and very vast since it covers more than 30 hectares. However it is not very deep. It is the highest lake in the department of Haute-Loire.

From here you can see the Péchay pond, a body of water of about 8 hectares which has a rather marshy part. A natural setting for lovers of green spaces!
