A quiet, simple chapel. It's an excellent place to stop on the way back. Shaded seating and inexpensive cold drinks invite you to linger. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

Beautiful old ruin, dating back to the 6th century AD. Great panoramic views; you should be sure-footed and free from vertigo. A short metal ladder leads up the exposed path. It's worth the climb.

The Notre-Dame-de-Vie hermitage was built in the 18th century and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, like many other hermitages in the region. Located in the Albères massif, it was restored by the association for the protection of hermitages in Argelès. Declared a protected site since 1944, the hermitage is surrounded by Mediterranean oaks and maples, and has an adjoining chapel dedicated to Saint Jerome, restored between 2017 and 2018. The hermitage is also linked to Saint Magdalene, considered the protector of the site, who, according to tradition, ended her life in spiritual retreat in Provence. Devotion to Mary Magdalene is documented in the region since the 17th century.
