A walk under a winter sun. Few people. Very quiet. Good shoes. The only unpleasant moments (noise): the beginning and the end due to the proximity of the A86, but only for a short time.

Water reservoirs on the Bièvre (river bearing the old name of the beaver), whose level is managed by the SIAVB (Intercommunal Syndicate for the Sanitation of the Bièvre Valley), the ponds of Moulin de Renard, Minière, Geneste, offer a natural reservoir for fauna and flora. Herons, swans, moorhens, mallards, great crested grebes, cormorants, barnacle geese, kingfishers and many other birds populate the banks of these ponds. Wild boars, foxes, roe deer are also present as well as wild rabbits, red squirrels or chipmunk squirrels (striped or Korean). Many flat or sloping paths allow hikers, joggers and cyclists to create their own circuits in this haven of greenery. Definitely worth discovering.

The Geneste pond offers a peaceful and green setting, perfect for a stroll or a relaxing break. Bordered by forests and paths, this pond is an ideal place for nature lovers, who can observe the local wildlife, especially the birds that come to nest there. The reflections of the trees in the calm water create a serene atmosphere.

Hello, is it normal to see camper vans parked in the car park on the other side? It looks like they've been there for a few weeks and since there's not much space to park, I wonder why it's allowed? And we also see someone filling their trunk on Sundays with big logs of wood and why only on Sundays? We've been coming for over 30 years, there are some weird things at the ponds! We really miss the trail that's at the car parks that you closed. It's too far for us, we're disabled but very happy to be able to spend a little more time at the ponds while we can afford it. We see people from the ONF in vans but they don't stop. Kind regards.
