A truly beautiful stretch of the route! The stunning scenery and excellent cycle paths make cycling on the ViaRhôna a special experience! :-)

The ViaRhôna in Pont de l'Isère offers a picturesque and dynamic setting for mountain bike enthusiasts. This section of the ViaRhôna, which runs alongside the Rhône, offers a mix of quiet paths and gentle slopes with captivating views of the river and surrounding landscapes.

For me, this photo is somehow symbolic of the South of France. This is how we Germans imagine the South of France.

Overall, the Veloroute 63 is a great bike route and we hardly met anyone ;-)

Top cycle path!

On the archaeological site there are houses which have been dug into soft rock, partly linked to stone extraction activities. Today there are only around ten troglodyte houses left in approximately good condition in the town nicknamed “the village of a hundred troglodyte houses”. There are also cathedral cellars, the miraculous spring and the remains of a 15th century house.
