The D81b is probably one of the most beautiful roads in Corsica. The condition of the asphalt surface is probably more suitable for MTB and gravel bikes than for racing bikes ;-)

Galéria is a small coastal village on the northwest coast of Corsica, located on the bay of the same name and serving as a starting point for boat trips to the La Scandola nature reserve. The coastal village of Galéria, with around 400 inhabitants, is an insider tip for a relaxed Corsica holiday away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. The village is located on a small bay framed by a mountainous landscape and has a pebble beach. In the small marina, the white hulls of motorboats and sailing yachts rock on the turquoise water and in the town center you will find shops and restaurants. Even in the high season, the stone and pebble beaches in the bay of Galéria are not overcrowded. Divers and snorkelers can look forward to a colorful, shimmering underwater world with corals, groupers and seagrass meadows. The combination of mountains and sea is what makes this holiday region so attractive. The town offers holiday homes by the sea and hotel rooms for rent, providing a comfortable place to stay for the duration of your stay in Corsica.

The pass itself has a provisional pass sign at the junction to a fenced antenna system, but the D 151 towards Montegrosso as a mountain road climbs by about 15 meters in altitude over the next undulating 800 meters.

For those who are planning a detour to the Forêt Domaniale de Bonifatu or who are thinking of driving past Calvi and heading southwest over the Col de Marsolino, it even represents a shortcut via a beautiful hillside road. Which brings us to the most important point: the most beautiful panorama of the bay of Calvi and the ridge towards Monte Cinto is probably from the road over the Col de Salvi. This means that on the D 151 leading over the pass, despite the very moderate traffic volume, you may well come across a coach that is too big for the road, which is mostly only one and a half lanes wide.

The Col de Salvi is a quiet, very worthwhile connection option for racing cyclists who are heading towards Calvi from the (north)east via the Col de San Colombano or the Bocca di a Battaglia.
