This course is only 15 km long but it is very difficult, violent and technical on the second part. The route is very beautiful and technically very interesting, but it is reserved for experienced pilots both uphill and downhill. From the car park, part of the route is through streets and a boulevard. Unfortunately, I never found a way to avoid the boulevard on the first part but the sequel is very good! I've never tried, but concerning the first part, it may be possible to take only small streets following most of the time the hiking route "GR de pays 2013 Marseille Provence Métropole", (which the we will leave later), to access Boulevard de la Forbine, at the start of the climb to the Col de Galvaudan by DFCI track. About 40 meters after the pass, take a path to the right which rises quite steeply. The following takes place only on the steep path. With my VTTAE, I manage to do most of the climb on the bike. It's more difficult on muscular MTB, but on the other hand easier for a few pushes!
