Highest point of Semnoz. Amazing views of Alps and surrounding countryside

Calm at altitude... On site, you will find hikers, cows, fresh air, grass, nature, parking lots and cyclists. Everything is there to relax and recharge your batteries. By respecting the signs regarding bicycles, the dangers of cows, the pedestrian routes, the mountain will be for everyone. A panoramic view of the area offers 360 degrees of beauty via a hike. Numerous on-site parking. Trail running here is great with multiple down and up hills through the forest. 👌

Magnificent lake but watch out for people in high season!

Mostly a cycle highway which is good, but beware a lovely hot day in French holidays - it’s pretty busy. There are, however, points along the route where you could just park your bike and pop in for a swim (best on the quieter side of the lake) and plenty of opportunity. Lovely easy ride. Probably not for the speed merchant (too many doodlers get in the way).

Col de Leschaux is a climb in the Annecy region. It has a length of 11.8 kilometers and a climb of 442 vertical meters with a slope of 3.7% on average, which implies a difficulty level of 191. The top of the climb is located at 900 meters above sea level. Great climb for beginners, a long and linear route with small tight curves, ideal for maintaining speed on the descent. Some traffic, but the road is wide enough and people are generally careful when approaching. You can take this climb as a warm-up for Semnoz, which connects perfectly to the top of this climb. Disadvantage: no views from the top.

Semnoz is a mountain in Haute-Savoie, France. It is found in the Bauges range. It has an altitude of 1,699 m above sea level. The mountain is crossed by the D41/D110 road near the Crêt de Chatillon at an altitude of 1,660 m.

Beautiful turquoise lake with many swimming opportunities and a great bike path around the entire lake.
