The Lake Annecy road bike tour from Sévrier is an unforgettable experience for cyclists. This 40 km long route follows a scenic route along the shores of the lake, offering breathtaking views of the crystal clear waters and the majestic surrounding mountains. The route is well laid out and safe, with sections on dedicated cycle paths.

Magnificent lake but watch out for people in high season!

Mostly a cycle highway which is good, but beware a lovely hot day in French holidays - it’s pretty busy. There are, however, points along the route where you could just park your bike and pop in for a swim (best on the quieter side of the lake) and plenty of opportunity. Lovely easy ride. Probably not for the speed merchant (too many doodlers get in the way).

Very nice lake with a wonderful bathing temperature (tested in June), very good for circling on well-developed bike paths. Top!

It is probably one of the most beautiful greenways in France! It offers incredible views of the lake with turquoise waters and the mountains. Along the slope, you will find several cafes, restaurants and beaches. Please note, this is not a cycle path strictly speaking since its status as a greenway also allows rollerbladers, walkers, and even horse riders. So moderate your speed!
