A very nice road for cycling and only moderate traffic. It's busy at the top, even in summer. They want to offer families entertainment and exercise. Not my style at all—but the people in the valleys can earn their living from it.

It’s a very pleasant little piece of cycle path along the Arly. This track is part of the so-called “alpine furrow” cycle route (V62) which connects Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean.

The Route d'Héry, located above the small town of Ugine, takes you to the Val d'Arly. It comes out of Ugine with slopes of around 7%. There is a lovely view over the valley which splits towards Albertville to the south or Annecy to the west.
