far too many vehicles on this small road, we should ask that one morning per month (eg from May to September, one Sunday morning/month from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. so as not to penalize the restaurants in the area and the residents) this road be reserved for cyclists

The magnificent Col de la Forclaz has a Swiss feel. The view of Lake Annecy is absolutely superb and you will find a restaurant at the pass serving fondue and blueberry tart specialties. Its name is appropriate and corresponds well to the idea that one has of a pass. Forclaz in Savoyard dialect means passage in the mountains.

This mid-mountain pass (1,467 meters) has the particularity of opening onto the magnificent Beauregard plateau. Halfway between Manigod and La Clusaz and in the heart of the Aravis massif, it offers superb views of the Aravis and Tournette.

The Marais pass is a rather accessible pass compared to other passes in the Aravis. Less known and therefore less frequented, this makes it a very pleasant little pass!

Extremely well done coffeeshop just above the charming town of Manigod on the road to Col de la Croix Fry. After the local hangout in town closed, a resident opened this cafe to bring the town back to life and give the community a gathering point. From the terrace there are beautiful views of Sulens, La Tournette and the Aravis. Very friendly staff, must have cookies, delicious local cheeses and the best homemade juices squeezed daily. Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

From St Jean de Sixt, the climb is relatively quiet and regular! After La Clusaz, the Aravis massif is really revealed, you will be amazed! What about face to face with Mont Blanc at the top of the pass!

This pass, perched at an altitude of 1,487 meters (4,878 feet), connects the departments of Haute-Savoie and Savoie as well as the two ski resorts of La Clusaz and La Giettaz. Very popular with cyclists, be careful on the descent towards Giettaz: there is a tunnel with a bend. Turn on your lights!
