Formerly known as the Basta site, with its forges and blast furnaces, this site housed an ice factory in 1908. Gradually, the Basta pond became known as the glacier pond. Ice block production ceased in 1963. In 1925, a sawmill provided work for local workers until 1960. Over the years, a large parking lot, a children's playground, a handicapped-accessible fishing pontoon, pétanque courts, a walk between the pond and the forest, and a picnic area under the century-old oak trees were built. Most of the Landes arenas were built towards the end of the 19th century. However, some arenas, like this one in Bégaar, were built specifically for the summer season with a wooden frame. Most arenas host the Landes bullfights. During these races, the bullfighters dodge the cow in the center of the ring at the last moment. The jumpers perform jumps over the cow. During local festivals, bullfighting games (bullfighting) are also organized, as well as cockade competitions where bullfighters must tear a piece of cloth from between the cow's horns. The Arena is located in Pontonx-sur-l'Adour, a municipality located in the French department of Landes, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The construction dates back to 1912 when the old wooden structure was replaced by a concrete one. In the 1930s it was renovated in Hispano-Moorish style. The Arena is dedicated exclusively to "Landes racing" practiced mainly in the French departments of Landes and Gers. It is a bullfighting tradition that belongs to the intangible cultural heritage of Gascony.

The Saint-Jacques Church is located in the municipality of Tartas (Lande, New-Aquitaine). It was built in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century.
