The climb to reach Mont Veyrier is a bit steep. The view is beautiful but it is not possible to stop and go back down while Mont Baron is about ten minutes away where you can sit down to observe the view and Lake Annecy. Mont Veyrier is not a place where it is possible to really land without hindering the passage of people because it is only a path.

A great climb for beginners, a long, linear route with small, tight corners, ideal for maintaining speed on the descent. There's some traffic, but the road is wide enough and people generally take care when approaching; I never felt unsafe. If you're feeling strong, you can take this climb as a warm-up for Semnoz, which connects perfectly to the summit of this climb. Disadvantage: There are no views from the top.

Beautiful walk. The climb up cannot be described as an accessible path; it's a lot of scrambling. It also goes up very steeply. This does not alter the fact that the view at the top is fantastic, both over (lake) Annecy and to the other side towards Mont Blanc. The way back is a well-maintained path.
