In Ceilhes, you have to take the time to stroll through the medieval streets of the village and soak up the calm of the place. After enjoying the banks of the Bouloc lake and the pleasures of the beach in the summer, an alternation of paths and tracks in the cool atmosphere of a forest slope facing north allows you to reach the heights of the eastern shore of the Monts d'Orb lake. From Mont Redon, you can see far, in all directions.

A village of superior interest, Joncels dominates the Gravezon valley, and is crossed by narrow streets with picturesque houses. A stopover for pilgrims who went to Compostela coming from Lodève, Joncels preserves the remains of a Benedictine Abbey whose origins date back to the 8th century and which was, in the Middle Ages, one of the most important in Languedoc.

Two curiosities are to be discovered within this pretty medieval village. First of all, it is an astonishing century-old elm tree sculpted and highlighted by Michel Chevray which can be found in the center of the village. In 1989, the artist gave a second life to this tree. The work of art is protected from bad weather by a huge umbrella. The second curiosity is the Castel rock chapel which overlooks the village.

In addition to the exceptional panorama it presents, the cirque of Labeil is also home to many caves, climbing cliffs and the cornices of Lauroux. Speleology enthusiasts will find their happiness in this superb circus.

Ceilhes-et-Rocozels is a great stopover with its lake, its restaurants and its many accommodation options, which range from camping to hotels and gîtes.
