Halfway and after a steep climb up, we stopped for a drinks break and just sat on some rocks and took in the view - breathtaking!

The origins of the Saint-Eutrope chapel are not well known. We know that this former hermitage belonged to Bishop Saint-Eutrope and that he went there to preach the Gospel. After which, he liked to retire to the mountains. Today the hermitage keeps its door open to serve as a refuge for hikers. It is an unguarded hut, with basic equipment.
