These wayside crosses were erected as visible signs and attract the attention of many people. The cross is a symbol of life. It stands as a sign of our Christian hope and wants to direct our gaze to Jesus Christ, who has overcome death (...). The cross is part of our life as it was in the life of Jesus. The land of Lake Aiguebelette is a very popular region in the summer season. Aiguebelette-le-Lac, located on the shores of the southern tip of the lake, benefits from many assets including its location and charming center. The castle of Aiguebelette le Lac is a real vestige of the 14th century, destroyed and rebuilt a century later. Today only a few vestiges of the foundations remain. The village is also the starting point for many hikes, including that of the Montagne de l'Épine.
