The view of the banks of the Seine in Ponthierry is a true haven of peace, where the river meanders peacefully through a green landscape. The path that runs alongside the Seine is perfect for a bike ride, offering bucolic panoramas of the shaded banks and the small boats gliding on the water. The characterful houses and gardens that line the river add to the charm of the place.

It is in the Rougeau forest that the German artist Gloria Friedmann installed this curious sculpture. Through it, she wanted to express the link between humans and the animal world.

If you tackle the Chemin des Merles, you’ll be treated to spectacular views of the Seine. The trail, which winds through lush forests and rolling hills, makes for an exciting hike. As you make its way around the bends and turns, stop to admire panoramic views of the Seine below.

Built in the 18th century, in the grounds of the Château de Montgermont, the temple is located at the end of a clearing on the edge of the École (a tributary of the Seine). Today on private property, you can see it from the path on the right bank.
