For example, if you come from far below from Rimbach over the Fuchsfelsen, the character of the landscape up on the plateau changes dramatically: another world, wide views, flower meadows... simply fantastic. On days with good visibility, the detour to the highest point of the Rossberg is worthwhile, even if it only consists of a small group of rocks.

The Balloon of Alsace is located south of the Vosges mountain range and peaks at an altitude of 1,247 meters. Very clear, it offers a 360-degree panorama of the Jura chain, the Black Forest, the Belfort gap, or even Mont Blanc on a clear day. The Alsace balloon marks one of the ends of the ridge line which separates the valleys of Doller in Alsace and Haute-Moselle in Lorraine.

The only road that leads to the summit of Planche-des-Belles-Filles is relatively rarely used by cars. The asphalt in perfect condition and the slopes of more than 25%, however, attract a good number of cyclists. From Plancher-les-Mines, the ascent extends over 7 kilometers, at an average of 8.7% and "walls" at 28%. La Planche-des-Belles-Filles has been the finish line of a stage of the Tour de France 5 times.

The Ballon de Servance belongs to the Vosges mountains and rises to 1216 meters above sea level. The highest point in the Haute-Saône department, the Ballon de Servance is partly requisitioned by the army but the summit is accessible to the public. Access roads partially close in winter because the road is not cleared of snow.

With the Tour de France 2019 and probably 2020 this mountain has now gained a lot in popularity. It was used twice to get to the Planches-des-belles-filles. A really nice pass with little traffic, which enables the drive to the south and north (there also Moselle source and Route des cretes).

Very nice pass from Plancher les Mines and descent to the Col des Croix. Very few cars on this side. Between 3km and 2km from the finish, an 11% average portion not easy to manage. To combine with the Super Planche des Belles Filles for the most informed 😉

Totally amazing. The final wall of the board is crazy. For those who are motivated, you can go to the super board but remember to breathe before attacking this passage, and be careful: the road is in gravel, not easy to climb. Enjoy 😉
