It's a shame that the castle and its museum are only open on Sundays and public holidays from 2 PM to 6 PM. The view from the foot of the castle is lovely nonetheless.

This robust city gate from the 14th century was part of the medieval defensive wall of Turckheim, a former free imperial city. The gate had a pronounced defensive function and was equipped with a herse, a drawbridge and double doors. The "gorgone" is striking - a grotesque sculpture intended to deter enemies. In 1843, the gate was restored and provided with a weather vane by J.B. Hun; a new renovation followed in 2006.

This charming church in the heart of the Alsatian wine village of Niedermorschwihr is a historical gem. The church is best known for its unique twisted bell tower and the Baroque Silbermann organ from 1726, originally from Colmar. Both the tower and the organ have been protected as historical monuments since 1993.
