Beautiful old town tucked away. The decorative spire twinkling in the sunlight made us detour to take a look. So glad we did! Stunning town with numerous patisseries & cafes and plenty of places to sit in the sunshine & watch the world go by. Highly recommended 👌

Housed in the former Château de Thurnburg, the Hôtel de Ville de Wintzenheim is a historic building dating back to the 16th century and has served as the town hall since 1853. Originally owned by the Knights Hospitaller of Colmar, the building reflects the rich history of the region, with stained glass windows in the council chamber showing the coats of arms of successive owners.

Wettolsheim town centre exudes the tranquil charm of a typical Alsatian wine village, with narrow streets, colourful half-timbered houses and an atmosphere of understated elegance. At its heart is the Église Saint-Remi, an 18th-century Baroque parish church with a slender bell tower, a richly decorated interior and a magnificent organ. In the nearby Rue du Château you will discover a serene replica of the Grotto of Lourdes, built in 1960, which is a popular place for contemplation. The centre is compact but lively, with small wineries, local producers and inviting squares where you can get a taste of the authentic Alsatian way of life.
