Carbini has barely more than 100 inhabitants, but it is nevertheless a historic place. The Giovannali, a 14th-century breakaway group of the Franciscans, had their roots here. Because they refused to pay taxes, they became enemies of the state and were brutally massacred during a crusade. The Sentier des Giovannali still commemorates them today, and from the summit of "A Punta," you can enjoy a fantastic panorama.
